Lampionnenoptocht Gemert
Saturday 7 December
On Saturday, December 9, starting at 5:45 p.m., anyone who wants to participate can gather at the traffic circle near the Haageijk. Lanterns will be distributed to the participating children. Around 18.15 the lantern procession then departs via Haageijk, Nieuwstraat and Kerkstraat to the nativity scene. Traditionally, the new dean will then lead the donkey and the participants follow behind.
After arriving at the nativity scene, a Christmas story will be read in the church by the children's church group "Just Believe. Marielle van Horssen on behalf of the children's church group: "When the donkey is in the stable after the walk, the children can listen to the story of "The stubborn donkey" in the church. We will conclude together with a drink and something tasty. See you December 10."
