Brandevoort
Brandevoort is a new housing project at the edge of Helmond. The style of Brandevoort was based on the typical Brabant villages and cities.
There is a lot of focus on detail and durable materials such as natural stone. No two houses are the same and yet they all go perfectly together, thanks to their mostly sandy and white tints. The Veste is home to various little canals which are perfect for skating during the winter. A traditional cast-iron market hall offers a covered location for markets and events.
The houses have “old-fashioned’ high windows and the small streets are extremely inviting to come and discover the many surprising details. There is a good reason why Brandevoort scored so well at an international exhibition in London. Even the British prince Charles has expressed his admiration for the district and many other cities have started to emulate its style.
