De Troubadour, monument in Someren
The Troubadour, relief at the Postelstraat in Someren. This ceramic relief was made in 1977 by visual artist Tom Franssen from Roermond. From 1977 to 2013, the artwork hung on the facade of the Lambertus School in the van Gijselstraat, now primary school LeerRijk. In 2013, thanks to the municipality of Someren, Heemkundekring De Vonder, the owners of the building and private initiative, the artwork was moved to this location. It is a lasting memory of the Saint Lambertus boys' school, which stood here from 1916 to 1988.
